Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Arundari Restaurant, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Bogor, Indonesia. Located at Jl. Raya Pajajaran No.61, this historic establishment, formerly known as Ardhita Restaurant, has skillfully retained its essence while modernizing its space to offer diners a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Arundari Restaurant captures the authentic flavors of Javanese cuisine, as many customers have pointed out. The ayam goreng (fried chicken) has earned rave reviews, being described as one of the best in the region. Customers like Michael Rey have praised the ayam goreng kremes for its soft and tender meat, marinated to perfection, enveloped in a crunchy outer layer that tantalizes the taste buds. If fried chicken is your dish of choice, Arundari is undeniably the place to be!

Another highlight is the restaurant's gudeg, a sweet and savory dish derived from young jackfruit, which has been celebrated for maintaining its traditional roots while achieving a modern palate appeal. This dish aligns perfectly with the overall experience Arundari aims to provide—comforting, home-style cooking served in a cozy setting.

The ambiance of Arundari is equally commendable. Reviewers note the clean, spacious dining area decorated with vibrant artificial plants that create a cheerful atmosphere. It fosters a sense of community, making it ideal for enjoying meals with family or friends. The restaurant's commitment to quality extends to its extensive menu, featuring a variety of dishes that cater to diverse tastes, from soto ayam to tempting tempe bacem.

Education comes with every bite; the staff are attentive and knowledgeable. The service is swift, often anticipating diners' needs even before they ask, enhancing the dining experience further. For those with a penchant for beverages, the kunyit asem drink—a refreshing turmeric and tamarind concoction—is a must-try, offering a perfect counterbalance to the richness of the food.

In conclusion, Arundari Restaurant is not just a dining venue; it’s a cultural experience. With its rich selection of Javanese dishes and a welcoming atmosphere, it stands out as a destination for food lovers in Bogor. Known as Ardhita Restaurant before. The food still great. Must try 'ayam goreng' and gudeg. The taste shown this is javanese based.

If you ask about the best fried chicken, this place is the answer It's Arundari Restaurant One of BEST fried chicken / Ayam goreng KREMES I ordered Of course Whoole Chicken Soooft chicken meat, the spices seep into the meat, makes very tasty & delicious... Soo tempting Second dish is Gudeg, delicious sweet dish Overall Cozy place, Nice convenient place, and good food Thank you Arundari Restaurant

If you familiar with ayam goreng Suharti at Jakarta which famous since 80s then you must try the ones at Bogor. It was called ayam goreng ardhita. The original resto is located at Padjajaran street, you may spot it very easily since the logo was quite catchy, a chicken head!. From outside the building looked traditional with enough parking area. The indoor dining area was spacious with simpe long tables and chairs. They filled the room with decorative artificial plants to add colors. I ordered Ayam separo (75k), soto ayam (30k), cah toge ikan asin (35k), tahu/tempe bacem (8k/pcs), meal package with rice, fried chicken, karedok, and sambal for 41k. For drinks I had teh poci (22k), strawberry juice (22k), starfruit juice (21k). Their fried chicken is the best! Well marinated and moist. I also like their tempe and tahu bacem. Personally I felt ashamed how come I never visit ardhita after years have lived in Bogor (am a regular now!). Anyway, during pandemic ardhita open new restaurant at Sholeh Iskandar street but with different concept. The new one is more modern in interior, vibes, and menu. While the original resto kept their humble and traditional dishes, the new resto includes western dishes and drinks.

Their fried chicken "ayam kremes," is one of our family favorite dishes. They renovated the inside restaurant into a bright, updated, clean, and inviting place to eat. Their various "paket nasi menu" is perfect for gathering with a reunion or co-worker. For families, their whole chicken or gurame is nicely paired with tempe mendoan, tempe bacem, buntil, or other dishes. Their buntil is quite good for Bogor, since they offer two options of leaves: daun singkong or daun pepaya. The curry soup of the buntil tastes good with rice and chicken. YUM!!! Their "kunyit asem" drink is another highlight of the resto. It is very refreshing in the midst of a hot day or even rainy day. For those who are into tempe, their tempe mendoan is nice, just make sure you request to be fried "garing" or "kering." Their tempe bacem is decent too. Gudeg is nice for Bogor if you are into traditional Javanese food. My only suggestion is hoping for a sweet dessert like pisang goreng or another favorite traditional dessert to end our savory delicious meal. I want to thank you to the swift staff who provide what we need even before we ask for it.

Have been living for years in Bogor and only saw it from afar (thought it's just another fancy restaurant). Proved it wrong today! haha With family if four, we ordered Ayam Kremes, Lele kremes and set menu with Tempe and Karedok. Good taste! However the Karedok is a bit spicy (we ordered not spicy), and the teapot mouth was not stable enough when we pour the tea (a biit messy yeah) Overall recommended and definitely will come back!

Great tasting Indonesian fried chicken. Their 'kremes' aka fritter crumbs taste crunchy yet soft. Good java style chili sauce. Good experience overall

ordered paket jumbo 1 (rice, ayam kremes, tofu, tempeh, sayur asem) and kangkung with beef (without chili). paket jumbo 1 had a perfect portion size for one person. It would have been even better if the chicken were crispier as it was a lil soggy for my taste. For the restaurant itself were quite quiet, making it a good spot for working or hanging out with your friends/family. the toilets were clean. the decor and interior was also pretty both inside/outside.
